Description: Fangamer's US listing says Silksong physical copies will not ship until November 10, 2026; Spain's distributor lists November 27 as the release date. Neither is a universal delivery date. Check the retailer holding your preorder.

The dates refer to different markets and different stages of an order. Fangamer's US storefront says the physical edition will not ship before November 10, 2026. In Spain, distributor Meridiem Games moved the retail release to November 27. Shipping on a date and arriving at your door on that date are two very different things.[1][2]

How did October 16 turn into November?

The original May announcement put boxed copies for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch 2 on October 16. Fangamer has since changed its US product page to the November shipping notice. Spanish reporting on September 22 documented the November 27 postponement. A worldwide launch date sounds neat on a calendar; the actual logistics have decided to be less tidy.[1][2]

There is a real, if mixed, player response. In an October 6 r/Silksong discussion, one buyer said they had already preordered; another regretted missing October. Other commenters welcomed extra time to finish their game backlogs. That's evidence of specific reactions, not a survey of the entire fanbase.[3]

Is my order canceled? What about Sea of Sorrow?

A delay does not, by itself, cancel every preorder. The US product page still describes a preorder item, while the Spanish report says reservations remain open. Individual store orders and delivery estimates can differ, so the useful evidence is the email and order status from the shop you actually paid.[1][2]

Fangamer also spells out one easily missed detail: the free Sea of Sorrow expansion is not on the disc or cartridge; it will be downloadable separately. The new box date therefore cannot serve as a release-date announcement for the DLC. Some players have floated that theory, but the October 12 discussion presents it as speculation rather than a developer statement.[1][4]

Hornet can cross a kingdom with a needle. Your parcel still has to cross a warehouse. For preorders, your retailer's current shipping message beats any single date circulating on social media.
