Summary: A collection prepared on your current phone can keep working after the deadline. Installing it again and signing in on a replacement phone will no longer be possible.
When Link! Like! Love Live! ended its online service on June 30, 2026, fans still had a small consolation: an offline app containing the cards and stickers they had collected with the Hasunosora idols. The events were gone, but those three years had somewhere to live.
On September 28, the team announced that the offline app would leave the App Store and Google Play at noon Japan time on October 30. That changes a familiar question into a serious one: what happens to your collection when the phone breaks, or you upgrade?
Here is the crucial distinction. If you update the app, sign in and download the necessary data before the cutoff, you can keep using that offline collection on the prepared device. Once distribution ends, new installations, redownloads, sign-ins and in-app downloads stop. Buying a new phone does not magically move the collection across.
This was already worrying players. In an August 7 Japanese forum discussion, someone asked whether transferring devices was hopeless because they could not remember setting up a linked-account password. Another player hesitated to reinstall after login trouble. Those posts predate the September announcement; the new deadline makes their concern more urgent.
October 20 at noon JST is the earlier cutoff for new support inquiries about reissuing linked-account passwords. Check whether your existing copy opens and the cards you value are actually downloaded. Do not reset a working device casually, and deal with password problems before that earlier date.
There is no promise of compatibility with every future operating system. For now, preserving the memories you can still open today is the useful move. Losing an app to a shutdown is painful enough; losing the last copy during a routine storage cleanup would sting even more.
