In chapter 1195, Biblo, the giant owl, mentions that a human woman named Lily once lived in Elbaph. Fans who have been waiting for news about someone from 800 years ago will want to know whether this is a big deal.
Short answer: the address alone isn't. What she may have left behind could be.
Knowing where someone lived isn't the same as knowing what she did. If it were, the Void Century would have been solved by checking an old property record.
Who is Lily, and why does her disappearance matter?
Nefertari D. Lily was a queen of Alabasta about 800 years ago and one of the 20 kings who founded the World Government. Unlike the others, she never moved to Mary Geoise to become a Celestial Dragon.
In chapter 1084, Cobra explains that she was supposed to return to Alabasta, but there is no record that she did. Her younger brother took the throne.
So the long-running question is: where did the missing queen go?
Elbaph gives that question a possible stop on her trip. It doesn't say why she was there, how long she stayed or what happened next.
The address is a footnote. What she left is the hook
The chapter also shows an old chest tied to something Lily left behind around 800 years ago. Biblo's family has looked after it ever since.
That's where it gets interesting.
A famous queen living on an island could be a trivia line. A famous queen leaving something to be kept for centuries sounds like a message waiting for the right person.
But nobody knows yet what the object is for or what Lily intended. Calling it an anti-Imu weapon or a note for Joy Boy is writing a five-star review before the package is even open.
Does Imu fit in?
Imu and Lily are both tied to the founding of the World Government, and Imu's grudge against what Lily did has been part of the story for a while.
That doesn't confirm they lived together in Elbaph, teamed up there or fought there.
Living in the same era is a clue, not a backstory.
So what do we actually know?
Elbaph gives us a stop on the missing queen's route. The real question is what she left there, and why.
Until the story explains that chest, "Lily lived here" is only the start of an answer.
